At the Lancaster Bar Association’s Annual Dinner on May 11th, 2023, Bernadette Hohenadel received the Lancaster Bar Association’s Louise Gatling Herr Memorial Award. This prestigious award is named in honor of Lancaster County’s first female judge. Bernadette received this award in recognition of her long-standing membership and service to both the Lancaster Bar Association (Bernadette previously served as President in 2010) and the Lancaster Law Foundation (Bernadette is a current board member), as well as her ongoing commitment to public service. The criteria for receiving this award includes: having a strong sense of values; enthusiasm for accepting new challenges with grace and humor; a love and respect for the law, its traditions and image; and maintaining integrity, compassion and thoughtfulness for others. Without question, Bernadette has and continues to demonstrate all of these qualities. As an added bonus, this award was presented to Bernadette by her longtime colleague, friend, and current president of the Lancaster Bar Association, Robert Cronin.
Congratulations!
