On July 24, 2019, as a result of a partnership with La Salle University’s Master of Arts in Strategic Communication Program, attorney Frank J. Macciocca presented the culmination of an independent study that he conducted while working with Lancaster Bar Association’s Executive Director, Lisa Driendl-Miller. Strategic Communication merges strategy into practice within an umbrella that enables organizations, like Lancaster Bar Association, to achieve consistency when integrating its messaging efforts such as with its Continuing Legal Education programs. Generally, communication is strategic when it is congruent with an organization’s mission and values. In his presentation, Frank linked continuing legal education concepts with more traditional communication-driven disciplines of training, development and learning all within the context of lawyers as adult learners striving to be more than just competent in the practice of law.
