MARIA C. KISSINGER
Maria works on a wide range of legal matters as a general practice associate. Her areas of focus include: family law, landlord tenant law, estate planning, and general civil litigation.
Maria is originally from Hudson, Ohio, and she received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University where she studied Health Care Administration. In 2020, Maria graduated from Penn State Law in State College.
Before coming to Nikolaus & Hohenadel, Maria volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate where she advocated on behalf of children and represented their best interests to the court. During law school, Maria worked in the family law clinic on divorce, custody, and PFA cases. Also, during law school, Maria clerked for the Honorable Linda Teodosio in the Summit County Ohio Juvenile Courts. Maria spent her first two years after law school clerking for the Honorable Harry M. Ness in the York County Court of Common Pleas Criminal Court where she wrote judicial opinions, prepared for criminal jury trials, and conducted legal research for the Judge.
Maria resides in Mount Joy with her fiancé, 6-month-old son, Vincent, and dog, Hudson. Maria enjoys running, baking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family in her free time.
